Round-trip flights to Paris in July

Looking to fly from NYC area into Paris on July 2 and leave from Paris on the 26th. The best nonstop flight I can find is on Continental for $1050, and most other major airlines seems to be at $1150 and up. Is there any chance cheaper tickets might become available, or is $1050 a good deal at this point.

I know Air India has nonstop flights for $850...Can anyone vouch for their service?

Thanks!

Probably not much cheaper for coach, if at all.

But check out the business-class only L'Avion that flies Newark to Paris-Orly. Reports is that their flights are very very empty, and they may have some further promotions. May not cost more than most airlines' coach fare.

I plugged in your dates on the L'avion site. Fare was 1380EUR, but it's busy class round-trip.

Here is their website:
http://us.lavion.com/

There is a chance that fares will go down, but it's not a guarantee.

Good luck!

sorry- it should read BUSINESS class not "busy" class.

Air India seems to always have the lowest fares from NYC but their reputation is absolutely horrible. If you do use them, please post back here.

You might register with the airlines to receive e-mails regarding any fare sales. I did that with Air France last year and got notice of a fare sale and luckily it fit in with my time frame. I had been seeing fares from 850.00 to 1400.00 and got a notice and booked round trip with all charges and taxes for 763.00. That fare was only offered for a day or two as I recall. So perhaps something like that would work for you.
