question about Frankfurt Airport

Continuing my inquiry re. 1 hour layover in Frankfurt. We arrive and depart in terminal 1 on Lufthansa, final destination Tel Aviv. Don't have to reclaim luggage. I pulled up a diagram and it looks like we arrive level 1 and depart level 2. If we're on time, considering time it takes to deplane, does anyone know if we'll make it? I called Lufthansa and she assured me it would be so fast and easy. I'd love to hear that from someone who's been there and possibly done that. I did get our 1 hour layover in Houston changed, so at least that's no longer a concern.

This is exactly the same question that you asked in the other thread 3 days ago. Nothing has changed since then. You will fly to Frankfurt, you will probably drive your travel companion(s) to drink with endless fretting over whether you will or won't make your flight, and the answer is still the same: if you flight is on time or up to 45 minutes late, you'll make the connection.

Would it help it I guarantee that you'll make the connection? OK, I guarantee it.

Try to stop worrying about the flight, and instead worry about what you'll pack, whether you'll get a cold just before you leave, whether the hotel will be nice, etc etc etc etc.

We recently changed planes at FRA; our inbound was from Geneva and our outbound was to Dulles. Gone is that additional security check for flights to the US we once had to deal with.

It involved some walking but we easily made our way to the outbound departure gate in less than 15 minutes.

Ditto what others have said. You'll be just fine.

I just had to do a transfer at Frankfurt airport on October 12 from an inter-Europe Lufthansa flight to a US-bound Lufthansa flight. We had to get off the plane, onto a bus, and there was some walking, but the whole thing weas fast and painless.

Keep in mind: Luftansa wants you to make the flight just as much as you want to make it.

Our whole connection was too fast, actually, because we had a three hour layover and the more interesting part of the airport is NOT the portion where flights to the US leave. We roamed around for TWO hours over three extremely lame duty free shops with no food options beside cold hot dogs and some expensive cheap "Italian" food (yes - you read that right - cost like a fancy deli but looked like airplane food). next time I am in this situation at Frankfurt airport, I am so going to dawdle on me way to the US bound gates if I have any time whatsoever. So boring!
