Question about 3-1-1 bag
My husband's new luggage came with a TSA acceptable, clear plastic, zipper top 3-1-1 bag. It is of a more durable plastic than the zip top grocery store bags. It measures 8x8x2 inches. Do you think it is really an acceptable TSA bag? There is a sign inside the bag which says it is, but I am a bit concerned about the 2 inch depth at the bottom and sides and the extra 1/2 inch in the size. However, I do like the fact that it is a thicker plastic. I guess he could try it and have a zip lock bag handy in case he is asked to change bags. We just don't want to be stopped at check-in since one thing may lead to another. Has anyone used one of these bags for liquids without any problems?

Have you met your average TSA agent? They're likely more concerned about grandma's nearly empty 6oz tube of preparation-H or baby's 4oz jar of squash puree than the size of your husband's goodies.
I no longer take the plastic bag out of my carryon - nor do they ask me to.

Thanks for the responses. The bag sign inside just says TSA acceptable but does not say it is a 1 quart bag. I think I wil use it and see what happens. Some bags I have seen online have 1 quart printed right on it - this one does not.
