Qantas grounds all flights

"We are locking out until the unions withdraw their extreme claim and reach agreement with us," Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce told a press conference today.

Just a few of days ago Mr Joyce's own remuneration package was increased by about 70%.

This needs to get resolved ASAP. My wife and I heard good things about Australia and bought tickets after seeing a promo video on Travel Explosion. It was one of our best vacations. Come on Quantas, work things out.

The Flying Kangaroo is airborne again.

From the QANTAS website : "Qantas can confirm that all domestic and international services have resumed from mid-afternoon on Monday 31 October. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and stress our customers have faced over the past days and months. Industrial action is now over, you can again book Qantas flights with confidence.

Some flight delays, cancellations and disruptions are expected as we return our operations to normal and we advise you to visit Flight Status for up to the minute information on specific flights. As always, safety remains our first priority.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this industrial action has caused and we thank you for your understanding and continued support."

Tipical arrogant CEO/Union strife scarificing

the passengers on the alter of their ego.

QAN is almost a "penny stock" due to this.

I hope the Big Red Roo can recover

Emeriates and SAL gaining market share on them guickly.

There will be many more defectors for better prices now.
