As long as he keeps expanding via merger people are less likely to focus on the issues
I can't understand why the AA unions are not hysterical. USAir and the unions are not exactly friendly

CarolA - US Airways has made deals with American's unions in exchange for union support for the merger. Unions stated publicly last spring that they see the merger as the best way forward for American.
