Minneapolis

I'm flying Northwest to Amsterdam in November and will have about a three-hour layover in Minneapolis. Can any one suggest what to do there?

sharon,

Hi I have lived here and unfortunately there is nothing to do here. You could go see mall of america but you only have three hours which really is not enough time. I would just hang out at the airport. The airport is secluded from the district area.

Have fun

With three hours (or less if your plane is running late) you need to stay in the airport. Bring a book, go shopping, get something to eat, play computer games, people watch, get a drink etc.

You could still go to the Mall of America. It's an 11-minute bus ride from the airport. Minneapolis isn't a bad airport to stay in though, big and comfy, but 3 hours is still a lot of time if you are all confirmed for your flight and everything.

There are plenty of things to keep you busy in the MSP airport. It has good shopping and decent food. No problem.

Oh my gosh. You can take the Mall Of America shuttle right to the mall from the airport and be there in minutes! It will bring you back right were you got on. It's easy and quick. Even if you spend only an hour at the mall, it's worth the visit. Go, go, go

There should be an expiration on some of these. Still helpful...I guess. For those of you coming into MSP in December on, the new light-rail will be open. The station if directly below the airport and will take you directly to downtown Minneapolis or the other way to the Mall of America.
