Long layover in JFK AA

Hi, we arrive at JFK on AA at 10AM from BDA and our next flight (to BCN) is not until 7PM - also on AA. We are allowed to exit the AA terminal and return. Our checked-in bags will be tagged all the way to BCN.

Question: is there a left-luggage within the AA terminals at JFK that we can dump our carry-on wheelies so we can go sightsee/shop without lugging the wheelies along?

If not, can we dump them in AA Admiral lounge (after paying the Day's Pass)?

Travel date is 18 Dec.

Yes, there are places you can store your luggage for a modest fee - get more information here:

AA is terminal 8. There no longer is a terminal 9. You can get from T8 to T1 or T4 in about 10min on the free AirTrain, and use the luggage storage there.

There are luggage racks at the AA Admirals Club. It's not secure - ie - you just leave your bags on the racks but there's no one there to keep an eye on them. It's probably safe enough to do that.

It probably is safe but the Admiral's Club isn't responsible if they get stolen.

Do what we do on the TGV in France: use those long combination-lock things to secure the suitcases together, making it very difficult for someone to go off with them.
