JFK layover

We have a long layover at JFK this spring. It is possible to go between terminals without needing to through security at each terminal? I have looked at the official website and cannot figure it out. Thank you

No, except for I believe between 2 and 3, both used by Delta.

No, and security won't let you through security in a different terminal if you don't have a boarding pass.

(if browsing different terminals was your intent)

Thanks for info. We were hoping to visit the other terminals to get exercise and combat boredom. We'll just have to do laps of the Delta terminals. Would we have any problem getting back in if we went outside t2 and t3 to get some fresh air? My least favorite part of long flights and connections is being inside for hours.

You just have to go through security, and you know that these days that can be quite a hassle. No liquids over 3 fluid oz, those under in a zip-lock bag, take off shoes, etc.

But as long as you have a valid picture ID and your boarding pass, you can go back into the gate are of T2/3 with no problem. You can ride the free AirTrain round and round the terminals, and you can visit each one. Just can't get through the security checkpoints on the other non-DL terminals.
