Is First Class worth it?

While scanning, I couldn't help replying to you, Wally. It would seem that if folks are having trouble paying of their credit card bills, they shouldn't be considering going anywhere at all, other than business, of course, until they are more financilly solvent, wouldn't you think.

I go on a lot of vacations every year and I tell people about how I stay in hostels, catch good prices on airline tickets and use the public transportation systems abroad. And people tell me that when they go to Australia, (or wherever) they are going to fly First Class, stay in 5 Star hotels, and rent a nice car and drive from point A to point B. Unfortunately, I don't think they will ever make it out of the state of Florida.
Lucky for me, the more I travel, the more I enjoy traveling on a budget. But if the airlines want to upgrade me to business or first, I won't complain.
