Delta double charging for luggage
Check your credit card receipts closely. The day before leaving on a trip on Delta I logged into their website and indicated was checking two bags. Since was paying with a Delta gold American Express card the first bag was free and was charged $35 for the second. When I got my credit card statement noticed was charged $35 for excess baggage on the day of the trip. When I wrote Delta asking about the charge, they responded saying they were sorry and a credit was issued, but did not answer my question why I was charged in first place. A second email only elicited that the counter agent had charged me. Still unanswered are - Why was I not told a charge would be coming, why was a credit card I did not use to check in with used and why was I not given a receipt?

Sounds to me like a simple case of human error by the checkin agent. Humans have been known to err from time to time. Delta appologized and issued you a refund. What more are you looking for, and more importantly, why? Case is closed.
