IAD and BRU 6 hour layover suggestions please.
My partner is meeting his brother and sister-in-law and their children in Rome this March for a week long trip. His brother booked the lowest fare that he found, which unfortunately has about a 6 hour layover in IAD and another 6 hour layover in BRU. Does anyone know what they should do during each of the layovers?
They fly to BRU on UA, so I will suggest buying a day pass for the Red Carpet Club in IAD, but would like to be able to suggest alternatives too. Thanks in advance for the advice!!

At IAD, they can go to the National Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy center. At BRU, they can take a train into Brussels. Direct train runs every 15 minutes or so, and takes 16-17 minutes to Brussels-Centraal/Bruxelles-Central. Enough time to take a quick look at the Grand Place and back.
