US Air was great when we were delayed in NYC for 5 days. We were upgraded to 1st class on initial return flight but not on actual flight.

Recently I flew to Ft. Lauderdale with two stops to start my cruise and one stop returning to my destination. Security wise leaving from my destination was no problem at all, but I did not like travelling with Delta. It was on my return by US airlines, I found the airline people very rude and insulting and also going through the security, it seemed like the officers were enjoying looking at the body scan and after that touching your body parts. They were laughing and making signs with their eyes. The airline did not impress me either, and I swore if I can help it I will never ever travel to US.

Finished my first year as a bone marrow courier. Made my first International courier trip with a successful trip to Italy. Looking forward to many more in 2011.

I don't keep obsessive count, so don't know the exact number of flights or BIS miles. I just missed requalifying for Platinum with Delta, with something like 72k elite miles. Would have made it, had I not used miles for one trip to Singapore. Flew another 20k or so on *Alliance carriers. Also a couple of trips to London on BA, and 2 trips on budget carriers.

Not a huge year, but not bad. All of that was personal travel - no business travel in 2010. Will see how 2011 goes, but so far just one short segment.

84,896 BIS miles, but I only managed to get *A silver.
(I did a bunch of award travel, and some travel on OneWorld where they dominate. If I had credited things properly, I would have had OneWorld gold, too, and had it not been for the LHR Christmas screw up, I one have barely requalified for *A gold. I'm going to glare at you all throughout 2011 when I walk by you in F with your United UDU, on my way to the back of the plane. )

41 segments, 25 airports. New (at least since early childhood): VIE, MEX, EZE, AEP, USH, MIA, STN, LGW, TLL, RIX, LUG

I think I flew a new type or two, but don't record details nor remember. One surprise was that Dash 8s come with different overhead bin configurations: I've always been on Horizon Dash 8s, which have fixed overhead bins with doors -- these are too small for the bigger roll-aboards, but fit my backpack and typical carry-ons just fine. Air Canada Jazz flies at least some (all?) Dash 8s with overhead bins that pop down from the ceiling. These look decent sized, but actually hold no more than a pound of back bacon and a six-pack of beer.

Oh yeah, happily, I managed to avoid getting groped by TSA, or being strip-searched with computer-controlled ionizing radiation. Indeed, all the airport security experiences I can think of went smoothly and professionally.

We flew one-way on Delta from Dominican republic, and a round-trip to/from Copenhagen - San Francisco. Our FF miles were enough for a box of chocolates each

Decided to cash out the miles as this year only one big trip to Europe with another airline, and who knows what the rules will be the year after.
