Help - Which Airline to Paris?

I'm going back to Paris, from DC - which airline would you suggest, and why? I'm open to connecting through Philly or JFK, but never again through Hartsfield in Atlanta. I might even consider Charlotte. Please do NOT bother to mention Delta - for the obvious reasons. I would very much appreciate hearing your ideas. Lets not make price a consideration. Just safety and service. Ciao, L

Penny, normally fly out of National or Dulles, but not BWI. In Paris, prefer CDG at Rossy. But certainly Orly would be okay, however. Thanks, L

Leone,

You can fly non-stop out of National on Air France and United. I have clients that really enjoyed their experience on them. If you don't mind changing planes you might try British Airways, they have a good reputation as well. And of course American Airlines has extra space on every plane, they have taken out seats to give addtional room in coach. Hope this helps. If not, let me know and I'll do what I can.

Thanks, Penny - that's exactly what I needed - I'll get started by contacting those carriers this afternoon. Thanks again, and have a great 2002. L

Penny, this is a small detail, but I did not think that Reagan National Airport (DCA) handled any international flights (except maybe Toronto?). Did you mean Air France or United from Dulles International (IAD)?

DCA doesn't handle international, but has flights connecting with internationals in JFK, Philly, Charlotte, Atlanta, etc. - but only 44% of what it had pre 9-11 ... see today's media on future direct flights out of National. Ciao.

Have flown direct from Philly to CDG on Air France. Flew back on 09/18/01 and had no problems. Security was very well run and efficient. And very accomodating on special meals for my wife.
