FRA connection
Our OK (Czech Airline) flight from PRG is scheduled to land at 8:35 am in terminal 2. We're looking for a flight to NICE, France. There is an inexpensive (though non-direct) KLM flight leaving at 10:50 am, from T2. I am wondering if this is a safe enough connection for us, having to pick up our luggage from our OK flight..
Otherwise, a much more direct flight, LH that's leaving at 10:20 am ---- but leaving from T1.... I think this is a bit risky...
need your advice.... Thanks.

"You can check it all the way from PRG to Nice."
Do Czech Airlines & KLM interline baggage between each other at all - and will they do it on separate tickets?
BTW have you checked Smartwings for a direct flight to Nice - they fly Thursday & Sunday

Thanks, J62.
Luggage: I don't believe we can do that? The FRA-PRG ticket is already issued with Czech Airlines, and the flight to Nice would be with KLM (yes, via AMS)...
I'll have to check with KLM returning to a different city: PRG-AMS-NCE & NCE-AMS-FRA
That sounds nice, as long as it's not more expensive than the current fare of $200 I found last night for FRA-NCE-FRA with KLM.

While an alliance is not a requirement for interlining the baggage, Czech and KLM ARE both Skyteam alliance members so you will have no issues checking your bags through. Separate tickets is not an issue with interlining. A single ticket is not a requirement.
You should also be able to get all your boarding passes at PRG, although of that I'm less certain.

Alan, thanks, but the dates Smartwings fly are causing us to lose too many days in our itinerary, besides the fact we still need to get to FRA for our home-bound flight.
J62, checking our luggage thru from PRG to NCE is tempting, as long as they don't lose our luggage along the way (2 companies, 3 flights).... But I will definitely check into it at the airport....

That isn't a problem - you just book a single ticket to Nice from Prague, then book another ticket from Nice to Frankfurt.
It would have been much better to book homeward ticket starting from Nice as a multicity / open jaws ticket
