Have just been told by a pal that when you get to airport, because this is a 'ticketless' and budget airline, you are not allocated seats, and its a bit of a scrum when you get on the plane! will I need to pack my boxing gloves?!

No you will not. When you check-in you will be issued a boarding pass with a #, so when boarding starts it goes according to the numbers. You are guaranteed a seat, as EasyJet does not oversell. Obviously the earlier you check-in the better chance of having the seat you want as you will be one of the first to board. EasyJet opens the counter exactly 2 hours before the flight. <BR>Don't worry it's a good airline, I use them all the time while in UK, never had any major problems, few times there were delays, but what airline does not have them these days.

It is strictly done by numbers - it seems to be 30 passengers at a time, so numbers 1 to 30 board, then 31 to 60 etc. On some flights I have seen people running to the plane to get the seats they want, but if you aren't stressed about getting an exit row (and leg room on Easyjet isn't too bad) it isn't a big deal.

The only problem with EasyJet is that the airports it uses are often quite a ways outside the city. So the savings in airfare is diminished by the cost of ground transportation into town.

Barbara,<BR>What are you talking about? With the exception of London - Luton Airport, I flew to 4 different cities and all of them were the main airports. Liverpool(the only airport in town), Belfast(International), Barcelona(International), Amsterdam(Schipol). Which one of the airports is so removed from the cities?<BR>Jetster, don't listen to Barbara, support airlines like EasyJet, as that what allows most of us to see more of the world for less.

Barbara, NO.<BR><BR>I think you are getting confused with Ryanair, who fly a lot of sectors to airports many miles from the main (advertised) city.
