Eurofly to Italy--Si or Non?
Greetings! I'm thinking of flying Eurofly from New York to Naples. I've usually gone Air France but the prices on Eurofly are quite amazing. Have you had good or bad experiences using Eurofly? I see that it is part of Merediana, which is southern Italy's biggest airline. In 2006, they seem to have flown 4.6 million people, so I presume they are doing something right! Can you please let me know if you think this is a good magic carpet to get to Italy from NYC? Mille grazie!!!!!!

No personal experience but a friend of mine and her 3 teenage kids flew on Eurofly about 2 years ago, and when asked about it, she said it was okay. Also, I believe they had to connect in Atlanta from Sarasota, so their experience was not as seamless as yours will be, if you live in New York.
Unfortunately she had not had any other international airline experience for about 20 years, so no real comparison.
Good luck!

Check out this new offering from Eurofly here at Fodors. I am thinking about flying them as well. I have heard generally good things about them.

We have flown twice on Eurofly; 1st time May 2007, 2nd time March 2008. We drove down from Western MA to JFK which is ok, but I would only do it for a great fare. Eurofly was fine to fly on. It is a direct flight. The plane had things wrong with it such as broken entertainment systems or in our case the handset. That didn't bother us as we tried to sleep anyway. The flight left JFK very late, around midnight if I remember correctly.
They were a bit disorganized at the check-in and gate. You really do have to arrive 3 hours early. Passengers start lining up for check-in as seats are not preassigned. We were actually able to get an exit row on both of our trips at least in one direction. They are pretty stingy about giving them out.
The flight attendants were fine. The food was standard mediocre airline food.
On our first trip we were delayed leaving by about 3 hours. There was alot of confusion at the airport and little communication. They did provide us with free food at the airport. We eventually made it home. On the second trip we didn't experience any of that. I would fly them again if my destination was Rome and the price was right.
