I am flying EDI to Heathrow on an 0800 flight. My hotel advises arrival at the airport by 0645 is adequate.
Do you agree or am I cutting it too close?

I wonder what the airline would suggest? I'll be doing an early EDI to Heathrow flight, too. Haven't looked into timing yet, though.

Unless you are planning on visiting the airport lounge or doing a lot of shopping, an hour and 15 minutes should be OK. The airport is small and easy to navigate.

We arrived two hours before departure, but have lounge privileges and are paranoid about missing flights. We ended up having enough time to relax before our flight and enjoy a light snack.

We flew on BA and were surprised when a breakfast snack was offered on such a short flight and we were in coach.

Good to know, Dorothy01, will be flying BA, too.

The EDI website suggest 1 hr. may be enough for domestic, but that would make me nervous. Looks like some shops/food places open as early as 4.

EDI is a piece of cake and it is a domestic flight. An hour should be plenty.
