That would be a hard trip.
I called about changing my ticket but it would still show a purchase date in February, so no DEQM. I could buy a second ticket but there are no upgrade seats available on the first 3 flights - only on the last leg. Can't risk not clearing.

DL/NW announced their promo today, with a twist. Premium fares get 3x EQM/MQM, while cheap fares don't get any bonus. Mid-fares get 2x.
I didn't realize US already had a 2x EQM promo out since early Feb. It was scheduled to end 3/31. They probably have to extend it.

Just to clarify, the 3x bonus at DL/NW is a bit poorly worded. I think the way to look at it is to say that you will get double the MQMs that you normally get (assuming the fare qualifies).
In other words, a first class ticket normally gets you 150% MQMs. This promo doubles that for 300% of your miles flown - you don't get 450%, which is what I would think of as 3x. Similarly, a coach ticket booked in the K fare class normally gets you 100% MQMs, so now you net 200%.
My understanding is that the other promos actually give you 100% bonus EQMs, not double, right? In other words, if you book a first class ticket on Continental, which normally earns 150% miles flown, you would now get 250%. Ray, you are the Continental expert...
Unfortunately, I don't really have the time to do a mileage run and all my travel is taking me Europe to Asia for the next couple of months, so little chance I will be able to take advantage of any of this.

You are correct about DL/NW. For flying FJYBM, one gets 300% EQM, which is only double what they'd have gotten otherwise.
You are also correct about CO. For flying the high originally-150% fares, one will only get 250% EQM.
So, DL/NW is still better.

ken, I mean double Class of Service (COS) bonus. Previous DEQM offers only doubled the base miles, not the 50% COS bonus, so you'd get %250 EQMs on eligible fares. But with this you get %300 EQM.
AND SO, I checked at flytalk and yyzprincess has posted info on how you can get a WAIVER from the restrictions. She gave great instructions on how to do it, but basically you just have to register for offer code MPW999. This offer is called "Double EQM Ticketing Exception MPW029", where MPW029 is the original DEQM offer.
This is worth 18,760 EQMs to me and locks up Premier Exec. Now I can fly on miles the rest of the year, or maybe get a ticket to SIN and go for 1K.
I am thinking about going to LAS at the end of April. United will has first class on a flight in each direction now (to/from LAX). Somehow, when I booked the ticket to Moscow they didn't pull the SWUs for the upgrades. So I have 7, including one left over from last year that was pushed to expire in April. Got to use that SWU.

Update about CO. The bonus EQM have started to post, and they've changed it to simply DOUBLE whatever EQM you were supposed to be getting to start with. So, that means 300% EQM if on a high-fare, not 250%. Same as all the other airlines.

amigo, i don't think you're nuts. seems like a perfectly normal thing to do. however, i don't think an L fare would qualify for this promotion. maybe check the rules or call ua to verify. hate to see you wear your gaucho outfit and not qualify. vamanos muchachos, happy hour soon.

So, I'm quite used to the accent.
