Any word on when Delta will add your Northwest miles to their Delta Skymiles plan? I had seen something from delta a while back announcing that this would ahppen but no timeframe given.

No specific timeframe. But definitely within 2009. By the pace DL is integrating NW, I think it'll be sooner rather than later in 2009.

I haven't received the email, which is supposed to come out 1/2/09, but supposedly, miles can be transferred starting sometime in Feb 2009. They are moving fast in combining operations.

You can transfer NW Worldperks into DL Skymiles now <b>if</b> you have an award reservation and do not have the necessary Skymiles in your account. They will only transfer the exact amount of miles necessary for you to redeem the award. In my case, I was still left with 1122 orphan Worldperks miles after the transfer. The process takes 1-2 days.

I don't know if you can transfer DL Skymiles into NW Worldperks under the same circumstances.

patty, this must be new news. We tried to do that in December and they didn't have the systems to be able to do it. We ended up transferring miles from Am Ex rewards instead. I know they are moving forward, so it may have changed, I just know it wasn't long ago that we couldn't do it.
