I registered day before yesterday (and again yesterday) and it was showing up in My Promotions sometime mid-day yesterday--probably just after I posted that it wasn't there.
I'm not sure I'll get anything out of this promo. With already-booked travel, I should get to 1K and husband and daughter to Premier Exec without it. At best, maybe one of us will be close enough to think about the next highest elite choice level (which has carry-over EQMs)--but I haven't run any numbers yet, and we don't yet know if/where we have to travel for the holidays.

DH, DS and I are now registered, as it shows up under "My Promotions."
I have flts as such:
Sept PIA-HNL
Oct PIA-MHT
Oct ORD-BKK
Nov ORD-ZRH
Dec ORD-BKK
The flight to Zurich is on Swiss, so I won't get DEQMs on it, but I'll still get the actual miles flown. And the Dec flight to BKK will be after the Dec 15 deadline, but I'll still get actual miles flown. The rest of them will qualify for DEQMs...
What is the "next level" that earns something over and above 1K? Is there something at 125? or is it not until 150? I need to figure out exactly where I'll be by Dec 31, EQM-wise. I'm pretty sure it will be 125, but probably not quite 150.

125k is an elite choice milestone, if you signed up for that promo earlier in the year. Without looking, I believe one of the choices at that level is the ability to carry forward 5,000 EQMs/5 EQSs to 2010.
150k is a milestone for two additional systemwide upgrades.

Just checked... I won't quite make 150 (136k is where I'll be) but would love to get the two additional upgrades! Darn! I don't think there is any way I can get to 150. I'm pretty booked up right now... haha

Aloha!
Yep, Ken. That's what they are designed for. They will help you move "up" to the next level. The extra miles do not accrue in your ff miles account at all though (if I understand correctly).
See you soon, Ken!

Up until this promo I thought I would drop to GM from 1P but it looks like I'll be able to at least make 2P with the DEQM and a mileage run or two. Business travel has been way down for me this year. I may even drop from Diamond to Gold with HH. I have made 1P on segments for the past several years but this will be the first year to make anything with miles.

I got an e-mail about the DEQM offer, registered again, and saw that mypromotions showed I registered on the 4th.
There was a second offer in the e-mail for an additional Elite Choice. Register here:

I didn't see anything about an added year-end choice. I re-registered this morning, just to see if it would come up. I will be at 136k when all is said and done, so that 125 bonus would be lovely. Wish I could find out how to register for it.

You should register for domestic 1K. I believe the "international 1K" is for those based in other countries. Without looking, I think some of the awards are adjusted given that certain things may not be as relevant for people outside the US.

I called Mileage Plus and was told they don't have any record of me being registered for the DEQM promotion (MPW049), even though it shows on MyPromotions (I initially registered "early"; on Sept 2). The agent was not able to register me and referred me to web support. Apparently others are having this issue, too. I think I'll just sit tight for now and wait for them to sort out the problems, especially since this promo will only make a difference IF I decide to go for the 125k level. But, FYI to anyone else who is counting on this...

I think I'll give them a call today. I also show that I registered on Sept 2 for DEQMs. I guess it isn't urgent that I earn them, because without them I'll be just over 1K this year. With them, 136K+.
I need to call the number on my prem exec card anyway, to ask about my Dec/Jan flights. I know... I'm a procrastinator!

You can fly Asiana ORD-ICN-BKK-ICN-ORD for $1532 roundtrip, outbound Dec. 15, inbound Jan. 4. This is a *A carrier and one of the best airlines in the world, apparently. The catch is that there would be a 12-hour layover in Seoul outbound and another 10-hour layover coming home.
