Continental charges $150

if your ticket is lost or if you have to make any changes <BR>Wow! $150. We just found this out when byuing ticket from Newark to Amsterdam. Is this only policy of Continental or other major airlines charge this much?

Most major carriers charge a $150.00 international penalty fee for any change.

What do you mean "most major airlines?" What are they? Lets hear from those who had to pay.

DH had to pay that $150 to change his destination on American from RDU to Berlin to RDU to Amsterdam, then back from Berlin.

It used to be $35 for domestic and $75 for International to change an inbound flight from the orginal itinerary. About 2 or 3 years ago most if not all of the airlines increased those fees to $75 for domestic and $150 for International for changing a return ticket..It has been my expreience that this is quite standard operating procedure now for the major airlines..
