Is this OK to bring a baby in the 1st class? Babies in lap under 2 - do they fly free? And I will have to pay for being seated next to a screaming one?

If you don't like babies/toddlers crying, don't fly Air India! I did once and it was like a nursery at 35,000 feet.

I believe a lap child under two pays 10 percent of the adult fare. In this case, that's 10 percent of the first-class fare. Even if the parents fly on FF tickets, they pay that fare for the lap child.

Our first child was conceived at 35,000 feet. Wait, that was economy class.

It's all about tolerance and lets face it the buffer of the first class cabin makes it easier to put up with the mile high club, babies and other assorted plane woes.

I have no problem with babies in first class as 99/100 I fly in economy

No, he just goes back there to make babies. It would be tasteless to do that in first or biz class.

<<Heck they can say no one under 16 would be even better>>

So glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. Infants and toddlers aside, I say no one under 15 y/o in first class.

I have a problem when they put babies in the first row of economy, right behind the business class.

What about adults who act like children? Can they be banned?

I've flown around 10 times in First with Malaysian and I've never seen children, in fact I've rarely seen other passengers.

A couple of months ago, my wife, my 6 year old and myself got upgraded to Business on Malaysian's KL to Syfney flight.

On longer flights, I always go with Business Class for all the family, I've found Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore & Malaysian to be especially good with children

Children are not allowed in F on Malaysia. This was misreported as a new policy, but the articles all seem to be about Malaysia announcing that they will continue the policy when they begin operating the A380.

I think they should put ALL the babies in first class. Those people are already as comfortable as can be and a crying baby is a minor inconvenience. Then I can enjoy my miserable coach class seat in blissful silence.

I don't know why any airline allows any children in the aircraft. There's always Fedex and UPS.

ha ha.

I think all airlines should have a special 'kid zone' area, just for babies and say the under 12s, well away from everyone else, in some sound proof type room - play equipment, cots, whatever, but they must stay in there - no roaming around the aircraft and running up and down aisles.

If you don't like it choose another airline. It is your choice
