We flew business class on ANA SFO - Beijing and from Shanghai to SFO. We thought it was one of the best airlines we have been on for a business class flight. Service was great, choice of numerous meals and snacks throughout the flight. We would certainly fly with them again. I don't know what the complaints were on the seats - when we went they were not lie flat totally so maybe that was it. But then again alot of business class are not the flat bed seats.

I flew both airlines in April '09. Service on ANA and Asiana is outstanding. We flew ORD-NRT on ANA - business class seats are lie-flat but angled (versus totally flat seats now on UA). I prefer the totally flat seats and our experience on UA 3 months ago wasn't that bad. On Asiana we flew NRT-ICN-HAN. Asiana also has angled flat seats. That being said, we would not hesitate to fly ANA or Asiana in business class again.

Thank you Craig. We are also flying ANA ORD-NRT and Asiana is HGK-ICN-ORD. We have but 65 mins. to connect in Inchon but have 4 hrs. or so in NRT so any tips to navigate the airport while there are appreciated. Larry

Larry, my tip for NRT is to enjoy one of ANA's wonderful lounges.

With 65 minutes, I don't think you'll have any trouble connecting in ICN - the airport is modern and laid out well. You'll have to go through security again but that will be fairly quick.

I was a bit concerned about that one hr. connection but its good to hear it should not be an issue. Thanks for the tip about the ANA lounge too. Cheers, Larry
