Barcelona Airport Strike
I see on BCN Airport's website Barcelona-El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport - Official website - Aena.es that there is a strike of security personnel. It doesn't answer the following questions, but maybe some of you have a rough feel (yah, I realize, any info will probably based on inaccurate rumors)
We are scheduled to arrive from the US via Frankfurt about 16:00 on this coming Wednesday Sept. 12, and am scheduled to leave via Vueling to Granada at apx. 10:AM Tues. Sept. 17.
Is the strike expected to last long (likely still happening when we go through)?
Any one experience it lately? How bad were the delays?
Does it affect only PAX going through security lines outbound, or does it affect inbound as well?

Yah, Janisj ... I tried several times to post on the Spain forum, but Fodors Forum automatically shifts it to the air travel forum ... I'll just ask on another website
oops, I just found how to change the forum, now posted on Spain

Fodors doesn't doesn't automatically transfer anything (unless you tag it specifically for air travel)
There are many/daily/countless threads on the Europe board asking about airports, transfers, security , passport control etc etc etc.

Strikes in Europe are for hours or at most the day. Usually what happens is they pick several days over the month.
I've been there during a strike and the line moved faster than normal. Others have had hour long delays. It'll depend on your luck. Show up a few hours earlier than normal and accept you might just be waiting after clearing security.
