Actually Easyjet and Ryanair don't charge for strollers that are taken to the gate. I've used both recenty for flights with my 1 year old and they are fine

No doubt it's something Ryanair will 'fix' if they realise they can make money out of it.

Yeah, this 3-yr old thread may no longer have valid info, as rules are/have changed. Always best to check on your airlines website for current guidelines. Can find an overview of several airline policies (2011) here >>>
