Airfare.com
Not sure if this is the right forum, but has anyone tried using airfare.com before? I am travelling internationally and their fares were 1/5th the price of the airlines' direct lines and a lot less than places like orbitz. Any input?

Out of curiosity, I tried:
IAH-HKG 7/7-7/14
Airfare.com give a UA flight for $1300+, and when I clicked "continue", it says it's not available.
A quick check on beta.itasoftware.com or Orbitz gives a CO fare for ~$1,150 for the same dates.
Enough said...

I don't think the question was whether this site is better or worse than other travel sites. That's irrelevent.
It's a reputable site, one that will sell and deliver air ticket/hotel reservation.
Folks, these days there are no "special, better" sites that have any better, reserved, alloted fares. The one that shows an occasional better deal is the one that has the ability to find and put together a series of fare codes that some other search engine did not find.
So, just because an airline site does not show the $500 fare that some other site does has nothing to do with the airline site running out of it's own "special" fares, but a lot to do with the "other" site having a better luck find and pulling some fares that when added up amount to less $.
Fares are centralized now. EVERY SITE pulls them from the same big bucket, but the ability of the search engine to find the cheapest fare codes still available is the one that determines if you will see the super-duper deal on one site but not the other.
That said, I will also say that there are some "fly-by-night" operations, but www.airfare.com is not one of these.
