AAdvantage Points Through Orbitz, etc

If I book a flight through Orbotz, Expedia, etc. can I still claim airline points? Specifically AAdvantage points.

Yes, you can. These are essentially web-based travel agent replacements. FF miles may, however, be denied if you purchase through a consolidator or sites such as Priceline. Check with your FF program for specifics.

Kucera,

I know about Orbitz, but not Expedia. During the booking process on Orbitz, you will be asked to fill in flyers names, seating preferences and FF number.

This should take care of it. However, I would suggest you check with American Airlines after you book on Orbitz just to make sure.

In addition, you can take your FF card to the airport when you check in.

FF

You will get all the actual flying miles, but you will not get the 1000 bonus points for booking on AA.com.

I use Orbtiz and Expedia all the time and have profiles with all my ff #s and I have yet to not have to call and have my # added to the ticket, no big deal, but they do have the lowest prices online that I have found and the best system for booking. Buck
