We flew the Dreamliner 14.5 hours DEL-YVR Feb. 13th and I must say we felt remarkably fresh afterwards. I suppose biz seats helped as we could more easily sleep but all in all to us there was a discernible difference.

recently flew a Dreamliner 13 hours, AMM to ORD and didn’t find any difference than with other aircraft except that the orb of the sun was in my left eye the whole flight. “Darkening “ the window had no effect.

What annoyed me about the 787 was the lack of an air vent to blow air on me when I was feeling too warm. I saw lady asking for a glass of ice chips and wet towels. Not sure if this is just WestJet, or if all 787's are like that. I hardly slept on the plane, and it took me about four days to adjust to the jet lag after a nine hour flight. I was in Premium Economy, and what I did enjoy was the little area by the washrooms where you could stand and stretch your legs.

Flew the 787 to Tokyo from DC. Love the Boeing heavies!
Gorgeous plane/esthetics, BUT, strongly disliked the polarized windows bc they never got dark enough. Also felt uncomfortably hot!

I've liked Air Canada's 787 windows on my several flights. They are substantially bigger than has been the standard for previous airliners. I had no difficulty using the darkness control, reducing the exposure to close-to-dark for a snooze or a video. For total blackout, try a simple blackout mask.
