New Nomad Camp in Tarangire!
Hello,
Nomad Tanzania will open their new Tarangire camp on 1st August 2006. It's not featured on their website yet, but they have released information on the camp to agents.
The camp will move between a small number of campsites in the more remote southern section of the park and will have access to both the Tarangire river and the park's wilderness walking areas.
Accommodation will be in four unique 'Bedouin style' tents. Bedrooms have optional roll-down canvas sides and netting. An outer living area is also netted with optional roll-down sides, kelim rugs, dressing area (screened) and en-suite loo. Traditional hot bucket showers and hot and cold water will be available on demand.
I can't post it here, but I have a fact sheet on the camp if any one wants to see some pictures -- drop me an email.
Cheers,
Julian

Julian - Eben had given heads up on this a couple months ago in the attached discussion. http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34785701
Here's a link to page on rates at Nomad Tarangire: http://www.go-safari.com/Tarangire/Nomadtar.htm

lovetodiscover,
There is no need to feel as if there is a rivalry between Eben's company and our own. As a matter of fact, there is quite an amicable relationship that exists and Eben's expertise is especially for clients wishing to climb Kiliminjaro.

It might have come off that way but was not intended. More people will benefit if the information is posted here than done through separate email.
And, actually glad you brought that up. On the web link there's a request there for pictures and it would be great to see the photo - so maybe you could send your picture in to be posted on web and we could all see it.

Hello,
Whilst Eben certainly did give a heads-up, I thought a new thread would help spread the word - it's buried pretty deep in the older thread.
Unfortunately, Fodors has made it clear that they will not allow us to post a link to our website. If you want the pictures, you'll need to drop me an email.
Cheers,
Julian

I'd be happy to post a direct link to the pics if you give me some hints as to where it's located on www.destinyafrica.com. I don't think that another forum member posting it would be in violation of any guidelines as we post links to tour operator sites here all the time. I did a cursory search but couldn't find it.
