Zambia - Kafunta // Kafue
We intend to go for a week in Zambia. Only 5/6 nights on safari. We are on budget so we can not do lots of internal flights.
I have a quotation from Kafunta River Lodge & Bush Camp, and I find ok. We need to fly from lusaka and return (400 usd).
Any comments? I read in this forum some experts writing about Kafue...
Please help me!!!!
Tks

Get a quote from Zamsaf in Lusaka. They can take care of the flights, transfers and Kafunta Safari package.

Tks for yur help.
But any commets about kafunta? and Kafue?
I must choose only one area. My time is short (5/ 6 days), and also my money (I can afford one flight- return...not more).
Tks again.

I haven't been to Kafue for several years, but my experience was very disappointing. The game was sparse. I have been told it is much better now, but that remains to be seen.
With SLNP, you can't go wrong. My opinion is go with Kafunta if thats the package thats in your budget and you like. By the way, If you have an extra day and you don't want to waste it in Lusaka, Move to a chalet or tent(check the pics) in Mfuwe camps like Track and Trail River, Wildlife Camp or Flatdogs. They have some inexpensive accomodations. It gets kind of busy in the last 2, but its better then hanging out in Lusaka.

If only doing the Kafunta package, you would be able to book directly with Kafunta and Anke Cowen, one of the owners, would take care of everything.
The advantage, however, in booking with an operator, is that an operator may discount pricing more than Kafunta would directly, as Kafunta is not trying to compete with its own agents.

Tks a lot.
If we go alone (me&hasband), probably we will do do Kanfuta & maybe Mfuwe (luangablondes advice).
But- if my parents join us, we may choose a Vic Falls package.
So, selfdrive from lusaka to livingstone...1 day near falls...2 at Chobe (it´s possible to cross the border selfdriving?), and more 2 in Zambia. Please help me.
Tls a lot.
