How did I ever miss this wonderful trip report, stamiya - it was such a joy to read - witty, informative and well written.

question for you and other Zambia lovers:
would Chiawa combine well with Botswania or is it just too logistically difficult to get to.
Thanks for sharing;
Sherry

cybor~ you could combine both. you'd have to start in Lusaka to Lower Zambezi (40 minute flight $150pp. After your stay at Chiawa you'd fly Lower Zambezi/Lusaka/Livingstone (2 hours 45 minutes $330pp) then make your connections from LVI to wherever in Botswana. (I don't know anything about this part of it)
Aloha,
Dennis

Sherry - thanks for the kind words re: the trip report; writing it brought back a lot of good memories! We started our trip in Livingstone, and flew direct from Chiawa (Royal Strip) to Livingstone on the way back. Not sure if this was a charter, but we never flew in to Lusaka at all. Maybe Rocco can update you on flight options. I think all our internal flights were arranged by Jennie from Chiawa. You will love the lower zambezi, I think. Lots to do, and really beautiful area.

I really enjoyed your report and your pictures. Your SA trip provides a different perspective than we have seen and makes a nice addition.
