We are planning a trip to Africa in November and would like to combine safari with islands. Which are the best islands to visit Mauritius, Seychelles or the islands off of Mozambique?

Where in Africa are you doing your safari?

Tentative plans for safari in SA and Botswana.

Could you also qualify what you mean by "best"? Is it nicest, least crowded beaches? Best diving? Best snorkeling? Most remote? Best value? Best restaurants? Most variety of activities?

Now I'll chime in with my "best." Best for nature and both land & marine species--where's that island?

Mozambique seems to be a fast-growing tourist destination and is accessible from Jo'burg. You might look at this website for ideas: http://www.mozambique.co.za/

If budget is of no concern I would go to VAMIZI! BUT that island would make an ideal combo with a NOMAD safari in Tanzania. But also as a "stand alone" it's wonderful.

Further down the line is Medjumbe, Indigo Bay and many more.
