Western Namibia: Any tips?

Hello,
I've already been to Opuwo and visited the Himba people. I enjoy making documentaries and even own a drone. I love experiencing the authentic life of the indigenous population away from the tourist crowds. I'd like to return to Namibia, but I'm not yet sure exactly where. The northwest has been recommended to me. Can you recommend it? Is it the best region for me? What exactly could I visit there?
Thank you.

Okay, you're right, and I knew that.
But since the cost of off-road vehicles is high in Namibia, and since I'll be traveling alone or with two people, I can't split the costs, so I can only rent a touring vehicle for two weeks, starting from Windhoek.
For this reason, I'm asking where it's best to explore the western area.
Thanks again.

Fox, maybe have a look at a good guide-book. Than make an itinerary, day by day, and tell us. This would give us the chance to help you better.
We cannot advice you where to go and what to do, because we don'tt know you and this is a really private decision.

Yes — based on your interests, north-western Namibia is the best region for you.

Areas like Kaokoland, Kunene, and remote Damaraland offer raw landscapes, minimal tourism, and meaningful interaction with Himba, Herero, and Damara communities. Highlights include Marienfluss, Hartmann Valley, Epupa Falls, and the Hoanib/Hoarusib river systems — all excellent for documentary work and drone visuals (with local permission).

I postponed the trip because I can't travel after June.
