WEATHER & WATER

Anyone just back from Botswana? We leave Sept. 1 (next Monday) and was wondering how the weather has been and if the water is high or low, etc. Would love to hear from anyone - especially if you stayed at Tuba Tree, Duba Plains or Kings Pool. Would love to hear about the animals sighted.

Kavey, Did you get your big trip together? Did I see that you were looking for ideas for 5 weeks or was that Liz?

Me, and it's pulling... there's a thread up in the top few at the moment. It's such a long trip and a low budget for this 5 week extension, that it's taking me eons to get it planned. I think I'm nearly there on itinerary though so I can then book flights, and then start on car hire and accommodation!

I don't know what I meant when I said it's pulling...
Maybe I meant it's pulling together?

Kavey, I followed---its pulling! I must have had a SM also as I didn't realize your thread was just below this one. Guess all the Fodorites are on safaris as haven't heard from anyone. What a fun trip-plan. Renewing your vows--is it an anniversary? Can't wait to hear your final plans.

Jann - sort of. Back in 2001 when we were talking about when we could go back (and trying hard not to jump on the next plane out) we worked out that we could afford to go in 2004. Since that year is also when our 10th anniversary falls that's when we decided to renew our vows. However our anniversary is actually in September (it's next week actually!) and we decided upon reflection that we actually wanted to go in June again. We figured it didn't have to fall on the anniversary itself so it will actually be a couple of months short of the 10th anniversary.
I think a lot of us are in Africa right now - lucky folks!
