Congratulations, Jules!!!!! How did I miss this report on the first go-round?
I was in Uganda a few months after you, including at some of the same accommodations, in July-August 2012, and re-fell in love ( first there in 1971!). So I totally "get" your excitement at revisiting "The Pearl of Africa."
Are you using Churchill again?
Savor the anticipation!!

Hi CaliNurse. Yes we are using Churchill again. They did everything right for us last time. We decided we wanted to go back to Uganda in late Sept so I emailed to find out what the availability of gorilla permits would be and then built a trip around that so off we go in January.

jules39 -- You're so lucky!! I haven't been on fodors in a while and just popped in and saw that you're heading back to Uganda and using Churchill. We had a great time there with Emmy from Churchill....if by chance you're with him (I guess that's a longshot) tell him Leslie & Rob say hi, haha.
I'd love to go back and visit the gorillas again- what an amazing experience. Have a wonderful trip!!
