Tunisia and where else?
I am planning to go to Tunisia in Feb. for 10-14 days. I pretty much know what I want to see in Tunisia ( a circle tour of the country starting and ending in Tunis), but I would then like to go to another country for another week. I would like the other county to be fairly easty to reach by plane or bus and be an interesting destination. I have been to Morrocco twice, so that is out. I was thinking of either Sicily or Libya, but do not know how easy it would be to get to either.. I am interested in sightseeing, in seeing interesting architecture and experiencing a different culture. I might be interested in a good beach destination for a few days.I am not interested in shopping. Any suggestions? Aso, any recommendations on your favorite things to see or do in Tunisia would be appreciated/

I loved Sicily (see http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...-sicily.cfm?62) and I met a woman in Palermo who was headed to Tunisia, so it's possible to get there. Note that there's an island, Pantellaria, between Tunisia and Sicily that you could maybe visit on the way.
My slightly dated Lonely Planet says there's a ferry between Trapani (much nicer town than I expected) and Tunisia - www.tirrenia.it, and it looks like tunisair.com.tn would the place to start for flights.

Seems LP is indeed out of date - try http://www.grimaldi-ferries.com/engl...dex.jsp?lan=EN
