Thanks for the feedback. It was incredible the hospitality we encountered.
I wanted to write this report in case anyone is searching for independant travel to Moz. I found almost no useful info anywhere I looked. The Lonely Planet Southern Africa book had some good info in it, but really, IMHO, underplayed the problems with travel. Had we followed their advise, we would have expected a far easier trip.
If someone can tell me how to post pics I will be happy to do so.

Also, there are rumors that Panthera Azul is operating and while that may be the case, we never saw even a hint of them being in operation.

And here I was complaining about sitting in the back seat of a real car without a/c behind a tall driver en route from Maun to Gweta.
I give you credit, as I'm not sure that I could travel like I used to when I was younger. Brings back memories of hitching and chicken buses. I may chose to live vicariously through you.
Thoroughly enjoying and look forward to more.
Pictures - I use Kodak Share for online photo sharing. Are your pics. downloaded into a program yet?

Hi Lynnie,
I only know about downloading them into a PC and then Kodak Share (there's many other programs, perhaps Costco can even get them online for you (?).
Will Costco give you a CD/DVD to use to load into your computer?

Lynnie,
Go to the below link and select create an album. Then download Kodak software - it will be on the left side of page.
Once downloaded, you will need to go to the browser window (on the Kodak page) to find and upload your pictures. I think it may be 60 pictures max. for each entry - you can do this more than once.
Once loaded, email to yourself - just follow the steps.
Then copy the Kodak gallery address and post here. You may want to tinyurl it first to have it properly fit on the page.
Make sense?

Okay, here goes nothing:

I tried not to invade too much of peoples privacy in choosing these pics. Plus, they are only of Moz, not S. Africa. Hope it works, hope you enjoy it.

Happy (belated) September birthday LynnieD from a LynnieC who also just had a Sept birthday!
Yes, I did love the blue, blue and blue beach shot.
After seeing your #1 photo, laughing out loud, and having my husband come into the room to ask wha't so funny, I am embarrassed about the buildup I gave to my #1 photo in the Kodak gallery, which was nowhere near as exciting. The situation must not have been too dire or you would not have been quite that jovial and posing for pics.
How did the baby gazelle get into the picture--literally? Were you out on some Mozmabique Plains or was it a house pet?
The new edition of How to Win Friends and Influence People is going to have to include a chapter on soft feet. I never realized those could contribute to one's popularity.
Apparently you can have soft feet but still not be a sissy.
Looks like it was a really fun trip.

Thanks LynnieC! happy Birthday to you.
Actually, when the masks came down I snapped a very funny photo of my friend who was across the aisle from me ( I was horsing around with the camera at the time) . Mine is posed, after the crisis was averted and is not nearly so funny, but in the interest of her privacy I didn't want to put up the horror in her face for all to see. She would be sensative to that. I was sitting in front of 2 Catholic priests, and I figured they were on the beads enough for all of us, so chose not to react. It wouldn't have helped and I decided a long time ago that I would not die scared.
Anyhow, we were hitching a ride in the pack of this guys pick up somwhere between the Mambone cut off and Vilanculos and these 2 guys ran yelling out of the bush for us to stop. I thought there was trouble but they just wanted to sell the baby gazelle. Apparently it is fine cuisine there. They don't get much meat in Moz. After the driver bought it he had it ride with us in the back and we then dropped it at his home before continuing on to where he needed to go.

I almost wished I had not asked about the gazelle now. That's what I get for my inquiring mind.
So that was you in the O-mask photo! I honestly thought it might be the 25 year old Peace Corps worker.

Looks like kodak gallery worked for you - bravo.
Enjoyed your shots. Thanks for posting.
Oh and that poor baby gazelle. You should have just told us that you were taking it for a sight seeing trip, LOL.
