The mosquitoes were no worse than any other trip we have taken. Actually, had I used repellant I am sure sitting out would have been great. I just don't like using bug spray/lotion at least not right before bed time.
Not many kudu pictures this time while in Ruaha, not as many opportunities as before. Thanks for comments.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a detailed, nuanced and fair summary. Your experience was so similar to a safari my family and I had last year that it brought back many fond memories. Best wishes for many more enjoyable travel experiences.

KarmiL, you are most welcome. One way I have extended memories of our trips is to give illustrated talks to groups. Here in Centre County, Pa there is a RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program)run by the county. Included is a speaker's bureau which I enjoy. Besides "reliving" our trip, I get to meet people and sometimes get a great meal or refreshments.
