Such an entertaining and enlightening trip report! My sister and I are doing a similar itinerary in September, and I just can't wait, after reading about your experiences. We are doing a self-drive from Capetown to George, which concerns me somewhat, because of driving on the other side. And, in Sabi Sands, we are staying at Kirkman's Camp. They have great reviews, but not as delux as Singita. Since it will be Spring, we are hoping to see flowers, and baby animals; hopefully, it will be warm enough to enjoy some beaches. Really looking forward to the food and wine, too.
