Many thanks! Your notes were a wealth of information. I will be travelling to Egypt by myself(single female traveller) and it is nice to know that it's relatively safe for a woman to travel by herself over there. Did your package tour included Cairo? I am having difficulties finding a tour that offers only a cruise along the Nile (i.e Luxor to Aswan or vice versa). Is it worth it for me to join a tour that includes the Nile cruise and sightseeing in Cairo?<BR>

Viwaan - The tour I went on included one day "on your own" and a couple of days with the group and the tour guide in Cairo. My recommendation is to go with a group tour particularly during this time of unrest. Plus I wouldn't have traded anything for the convenience that is offered in touring the sites along the Nile. I don't think you will have to pay that much more for comprehensive tour of Egypt as opposed to just a boat ride down the Nile.<BR><BR>I used Go Ahead Vacations this summer for a trip to Europe (the QE2 transatlantic crossing to England and London) and was very happy with their services so you might check into their Egypt tours.
