Tipping a Private Guide in Israel

Is this private guide for the entire trip, or simply full or half-day tours in different cities?
If the latter is full-day, I figure $10-15/person day, depending on quality of service, of course, which is often outstanding.
And, as above reply, I too use this guideline worldwide, but for those countries where tipping isn't a custom/expected... another subject altogether.
