i am hesitating booking a kenyan-tanzanian trip with this company because they only take payment via wire transfer of cash. has anyone used this company? or know if this is standard practice. i found this company thru fodor's african safari planner

That form of payment is typical. They may be open to receiving a bulk of the payment in cash upon arrival.

You can see many other agents there as well.

They are Class E meaning they have less sales than the A-Ds. Maybe send a note to the Fodor editors and ask how companies are included and ask about Skyview. Also ask for references from Skyview if you are serious about them.

Or post the intinerary you are interested in and others can give suggestions on a variety companies to consider and the pros/cons of the itinerary itself.

thanks, i actually did get in touch with fodors but no reply. i think i feel ok now that i found out it is customary for tour operators to request wire transfers.

an update for anyone else interested in this company. they have booked all my hotels and flights and are so nice to deal with. any reservations about this company that i had previously have been unnecessary.

just wanted everyone to know that my trip was a huge success thanks to skyview of africa, they were all they promised and more. i highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have the most amazing safari experience.
