We have done both the Selous and the MM/Serengeti/Ngorongoro both in September and enjoyed both immensely. However, for a honeyeoon the Selous wins hands down. We stayed at the Selous Safari Camp - luxurious tents right by the lake, great food amazing guides. All in all a very well run place. One of the main attractions for us was the option of not only jeep based safaris but boats on the lake/river which were amazing. We also opted for fly camping one night which involved long hike (option to go by jeep)which was still ranks as one of the most memorable experiences of my travelling life - fine food and wines in teh middle of nowhere - fantastic!
