SATURDAYS IN JERUSALEM
Since Jerusalem shuts down for the Sabbath, does anyone have suggestions as what is opened or what to do during that time? Just wondering... I know we can always walk around the old city and go into the Arab section. But any suggestions would be helpful.

Jerusalem does not "shut down" on the Sabbath. The Old City is open for business as usual, except for sites in the Jewish Quarter. In addition, the following are open:
- the Israel Museum ( you can spend the entire day there)
- David's Citadel Museum
- the Ramparts Walk
- Museum of Islamic Art

YOu may also want to download the Old City Walking Tour guide. I only know about the ipad/iphone versions. It will load on both devices BUT you must click "iphone" only for it to show up on the APP store. There are multiple tours which can keep you busy for days!
