Solsenz, The fact that the don'ts have even caught your attention and caused you to ponder means you'll be fine.
Do start saving now for your next trip because you'll want to go back, maybe to Botswana again or elsewhere in Africa.
Do consider yourself very fortunate and plan on having an outstanding time.
Do get a pair of binocs for each person going.
Do wear plenty of sunscreen, lip balm with a high SPF and wide brimmed hats.
Do take doubles of things that are crucial such as sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, etc.
Do store your toothpaste in a ziplock plastic bag to prevent small creatures from sampling it.
Do call your credit card company in advance and let them know the dates you may be using your card in Africa so it doesn't get cancelled on you as part of theft prevention.
Do take the credit card with you to the airport that you used to buy your airline tickets, even if you only paid the taxes on frequent flyer miles. I almost had a problem with this and I saw a family kicked off a plane in South Africa when they couldn't produce the credit card with which they bought the tickets.
Do write a report, whether detailed or short when you return.
