I have a few days in Dar and was thinking about visiting the Sadaani Game Reserve. Has anyone been there and stayed with Tent with a view? Is there a fair amount of wildlife seen here? Any other suggestions for short safaris near Dar?

I can't help but would be very interested to hear about your stay if you decide to go there.

I read something about this place on the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree fairly recently. Try doing a search there. Someone mentioned that he/she did in fact see a lion and lion tracks even though this reserve reportedly doesn't have any/many carnivores.

Like Patty, I've been quite interested in Saadani and would love to hear a firsthand account. I think it can be a bit of a pain to get there (4+ hours from Dar or charter plane?).

We will be visiting the Sadaani Game Reserve for a few days in mid February. Camping on the beach. I will post a report on my return in March.
