Sorry for your negative experience can happen anywhere in ther world to the clueless
Not sure it is fair to defame an entire business here based on one negative experience
Egypt is the very worst I have seen for this but jerusalem also is bad.
A high index of suspicion is my only defense.
Always stick with private guide driver for cheapest best tours there.

qwovadis, you wrote, "Not sure it is fair to defame an entire business here based on one negative experience"
and then go on to defame an entire country ( Egypt) and an entire city ( Jerusalem)!!
re: the ferry ride in Italy--I am a half full glass person,
you were rushing to get onboard--you ran without realizing your change, you didn't go back nd ask, yet--you assume it was a planned thievery. For all you know the money was sitting at the side just waiting for your return.

Na, Elkaz, thanks for trying but we were clearly cheated. When the guy handed me the tickets he was suppose to add the change to it. He didn't. He realized we're a bit under stress, he just got up of his chair and shut the glass window, because we were the very last passengers to buy tickets... It was clear to us he simply took advantage of us. But that's OK, this happened years ago, and we still in love with Italy.

Elkaz, that's exactly why I was asking if anyone had gone back for the change, or if there was a chance to go back and ask for it. You never know. But, since it was 'years ago', it doesn't matter now. I LOVED Jerusalem, by the way. It was life changing for me. Despite the little things, I wouldn't change it for anything.
