Question for SFO-SEA- AMS-JRO route

Folks,
I am fiying Alaska Air (SFO --SEA), then DELTA+ KLM from there to JRO.

Question is, will Alaska Air be through-checking me in ? Or do I have to retrieve my checked baggage in Seattle....find/walk over to the Delta counter and re-check in ?

Thx !

Don't know, sorry no help.
Forgive me, but can't help but ask why this route? You can't bypass SEA? Must be a good reason since seems like it would add several hours to an already 32 hour door-to-door journey!!! Inquiring minds want to know

regards - tom

I have a feeling Patty Ace Airline Expert will know.

My advice: call Alaksa. Also post your question on the Airlines board here.

My hunch: they will through-check.

My nod to Tom: if I recall correctly, this routing comes up fairly frequently for SFO-JRO, especially if you don't want to spend a gazillion dollars for your ticket or spend 9 hours in Amsterdam before heading onward. I have only avoided it by spending the 9 hours in Amsterdam. Which by the way I have enjoyed. Very pretty.

Tom,
I have a connecting flight from AMS in 3 hrs after landing there. Besides, this was booked last year when I decided to avoid the snowy mid-west (MN and MI) and add a couple or more hrs to the journey by going via Seattle. Actually, total time taken is 26 hrs (including transit time). Not that bad considering I travel to India every now and then (similar travel times) .

Leely, thx. Alaska Air said they will check me through, but travelocity tells me that I will have to check-in with Delta in SEA...weird.
