Qatar Visa on Arrival Experience

Any recent experience with visa on arrival at Qatar? We will be on a layover from about 5 pm to 2 am and have booked a hotel to relax, eat, nap. Do we need photos, cash, or anything else besides our USA passports to obtain the visa on arrival?

We recently stopped over in DOH for a night. It's totally smooth, quick and easy to enter as a US citizen -- it's a modern, civilized first world airport; much different than what we have in the US.

You definitely don't need money or photos. Just your passport. Nobody asked us for an onward ticket, but I'd carry a printed copy of your onward ticket confirmation just to be safe.

FYI, Uber works well and is your cheapest bet for airport pick-up / drop-off.
