Possible to travel from Sabi Sands to Livingstone in 1 day?

My husband and I are planning to safari in Sabi Sands for 3 nights and will be taking the private plane from JNB there. On our departure day, we would like to do an AM safari before flying to JNB and then on to Livingstone. I know that the private planes only travel at certain times and that the flights to Livingstone are earlier in the day as the airport closes in the afternoon. Is it possible to get from Sabi to Livingstone in one day or do we have to overnight in JNB?

Both SAA's and BA's flights to LVI leave around 11 AM, so not compatible with a morning game drive at Sabi. Probably dicey altogether unless the private plane has overnighted at Sabi or has left extremely early from JNB (which might mean before incoming pax are ready to transfer.)

Thanks for the reply. Do you recommend doing the AM safari, flying to JNB to stay overnight, and then fly to LVI the next morning? If we scratch the AM safari, can we still get to JNB on time via private plane to catch the LVI flight?

If you are doing the private plane, you could continue up to livingstone on the same day. It is the scheduled flights that do not make a good connection, which forces the overnight in Johannesburg.

Private plane will cost more than a hotel night, so the equation comes down to time vs money. If I only had three nights in SSGR I would not want to give up a game drive.
